Pay by phone with a signed card authority
Prefer to give your card details over the phone? We accept phone card payments on every booking. To protect you and us, we file a short signed authority form before charging your card.
1. Call dispatch
Ring 01436 593614 (24/7). Have your booking reference, pickup, and drop-off ready.
2. Read your card details
On a recorded, PCI-DSS compliant line we take the card number, expiry, and CVC and enter them directly into Stripe or Worldpay. We never write them down or store them.
3. File a signed card authority
Complete our online Card Charge Authority form — digital signature or download, wet-sign and email it back — so we hold written authority to debit the agreed amount.
Why we need a signed card charge authority
- Chargeback protection. A signed authority is our documented proof to the acquirer that you consented to the charge — critical for MOTO (mail order / telephone order) transactions.
- Amount confirmation. The form fixes the exact £ amount we're authorised to take. Any additional charge (extra stops, waiting time, tolls) requires a fresh authorisation.
- PCI-DSS compliance. We never write your card number on the form or store it in our database. The number is taken by phone and processed straight through Stripe or Worldpay.
- Choice of signature. Sign on-screen with a finger or mouse, or download the PDF, print, wet-sign, and email it back to hire@tridenttaxis.com.
